2026학년도 2학기 초등 전교어린이회 임원선거 실시 및 임명장 수여 NEW

싱가포르한국국제학교(SKIS) 초등부는 지난 8월 28일(금) 강당에서 2026학년도 2학기 전교어린이회 임원선거를 실시하였습니다.🗳️ 후보 학생들은 8월 27일(목) 하루 동안 캔틴, 교실, 복도 등 교내 곳곳에서 직접 선거 운동을 펼치며 자신의 공약과 포부를 친구들에게 열정적으로 알렸습니다. 이튿날인 28일에는 강당에서 합동 소견 발표회가 열려 각 후보가 단상에 올라 진지하게 소견을 발표하였고, 이를 경청한 3~6학년 전교생이 직접 기표소에서 소중한 한 표를 행사하였습니다.✅ 선거 결과, 다음과 같이 당선자가 확정되었습니다.🎉 전교회장 : 6학년 강OO전교부회장 : 6학년 최OO, 5학년 김OO, 5학년 이OO당선자들에게는 유삼목 교장선생님께서 임명장을 직접 수여해 주셨으며, 임명장 수여에 이어 교장선생님과 전교어린이회 임원들 간의 간담회도 바로 진행되었습니다. 간담회에서 임원들은 선거 기간 동안 약속한 공약과 2학기 동안 펼쳐나갈 포부를 교장선생님께 직접 말씀드리며 학생 자치 활동에 대한 의지를 다지는 뜻깊은 자리가 되었습니다. 💪 현재 임원들은 약속한 공약 실천을 위해 부지런히 노력하고 있습니다. 이번 선거는 후보 등록, 선거 운동, 소견 발표, 투표, 개표에 이르기까지 실제 민주주의 선거 절차에 따라 진행되었으며, 학생들이 민주 시민으로서의 자질과 소양을 직접 몸으로 익히는 뜻깊은 시간이 되었습니다. 당선된 임원 여러분의 활약을 기대하며, SKIS 초등부는 앞으로도 학생 자치활동이 활발히 이루어질 수 있도록 적극 지원하겠습니다.🌟

School Exchange Program with West Grove Primary School NEW

School Exchange Program with West Grove Primary School On the 26th August, our G4 students participated in an enriching School Exchange Program with West Grove Primary School. During the program, students engaged in a wide variety of cultural exchange and bonding activities designed to foster mutual understanding and friendship. Through hands-on experiences, collaborative games, and meaningful interactions, they had the opportunity to learn about different cultural traditions and share their own unique backgrounds. This exchange allowed the G4 students to build lasting global friendships, develop a deeper appreciation for cultural diversity, and expand their perspectives beyond the classroom.

Elementary Student Council Donates to Local Charity

This semester, the Student Council chose to host a fundraising flea market. Thanks to everyone who donated items and came to shop during the event, we raised an impressive $919.10! This week, our four Student Council members, Roun, Sua, Hangyeol, and Yubin, visited the rescue centre of their chosen charity, ACRES. Chinese Speech Contest

From 29 June to 3 July, the Elementary School held the Chinese Speech Contest. Students confidently delivered their speeches in Chinese and showed their language skills, creativity, and enthusiasm. Throughout the competition, they demonstrated clear pronunciation, careful preparation, and growing confidence in speaking Chinese. The contest gave students a valuable opportunity to practise their spoken Chinese, gain confidence in speaking in front of others, and celebrate their learning.

NTU The Photonics Institute 진로체험활동

싱가포르한국국제학교는 7월 7일(화) NTU The Photonics Institute에서 G7~G11 희망 학생들을 대상으로 진로 체험 활동을 실시하였습니다. 학생들은 NTU 채상훈 교수님의 특강을 통해 반도체와 포토닉스 기술의 기본 개념을 배우고, 해당 기술이 첨단 산업 분야에서 어떻게 활용되는지 살펴보았습니다. 이어 대학의 반도체 연구 클린룸 시설을 직접 방문하여 반도체 제작 과정과 실제 과학·공학 연구 환경을 체험하였습니다. 이번 활동은 학생들이 물리학, 전자공학, 재료공학, 화학 등 관련 전공과 직업 세계에 대한 이해를 넓히고, 미래 과학기술 분야에 대한 진로 탐색의 기회를 갖는 유익한 시간이 되었습니다.

Kindergarten Field Trip: Singapore Zoo

Kindergarten Field Trip: Singapore Zoo On the 1st July, the kindergarten students embarked on their Field Trip to the Singapore Zoo. At the Zoo, they were able to learn about the different insects and animals that live in the Fragile Forest Biodome. The students were also joined by the Zoo Facilitators who educated them on the importance of conservation as well as how to spot certain animals, as well as the animals' unique traits and how they live together in harmony in the Biodome. Through the field trip, the student were also able to identify the different animals that they have learned in their day to day lessons, and discover how at risk the different animals such as the Tree Kangaroo is on our earth.

[2026학년도 1학기 통합학급 공동체 활동 '추억 한 장, 마음 한 줄'] 2026년 7월 1일 (수) 8교시, 통합학급 학생들을 대상으로 한 학기를 마무리하는 공동체 활동 ‘추억 한 장, 마음 한 줄’ 행사를 실시하였습니다. 학생들은 함께했던 순간이 담긴 추억 사진을 나누고, 친구에게 전하고 싶은 따뜻한 마음을 한 줄 문장으로 표현하며 서로를 격려하는 시간을 가졌습니다. 이번 활동을 통해 학생들은 공동체 안에서 서로의 소중함을 느끼고, 배려와 감사의 마음을 나누며, 한 학기를 의미 있게 마무리하였습니다.

2026학년도 특수학급 사랑약국 행사 진행

[2026학년도 특수학급 사랑약국 행사] 지난 6월 16일(화)부터 6월 19일(금)까지 초등학교 전체 학생을 대상으로 도서관 앞에서 ‘사랑약국’ 활동이 운영되었습니다. 이번 활동은 특수학급에서 직접 준비한 특별한 약을 친구들에게 나누며, 서로의 마음을 살피고 따뜻한 응원을 전하기 위해 마련되었습니다. ‘튼튼해지는 약’, ‘골고루 먹게 되는 약’, ‘행복해지는 약’ 등 긍정적인 의미가 담긴 약포지를 정성껏 포장하고, 봉투에 친구들의 이름을 적어 전달하였습니다. 사랑약국을 통해 약을 받은 학생들은 마음이 건강해지는 작은 미션에도 참여하였습니다. 쓰레기 하나 줍기, 친구와 하이파이브 하기, 선생님께 인사하기 등 일상 속에서 실천할 수 있는 미션을 수행하며 배려와 존중의 의미를 되새겼습니다. 이번 활동은 특수학급 학생이 포장, 분류, 수량 확인, 전달 등 다양한 역할을 경험하는 동시에, 전교생이 함께 정서적으로 교류하는 뜻깊은 시간이 되었습니다. 앞으로도 우리 학교는 서로를 응원하고 존중하는 따뜻한 학교 문화를 만들어 가기 위해 다양한 활동을 이어가겠습니다.

진로명사특강 방준성 교수님(UST)

2026년 6월 18일, UST 방준성 교수님을 초청하여 희망 학생들을 대상으로 「AI 시대의 의사결정과 윤리: 인간과 인공지능이 함께 만들어가는 미래」 특강을 진행하였습니다. 학생들은 인공지능이 의사결정 과정에 미치는 영향과 윤리적 쟁점을 이해하고, 인간과 AI가 협력하여 만들어 갈 미래 사회의 방향에 대해 생각해 보는 시간을 가졌습니다. On June 18, 2026, Professor Junseong Bang from UST delivered a special lecture for interested students titled “Decision-Making and Ethics in the AI Era: A Future Shaped Together by Humans and Artificial Intelligence.” Through the lecture, students explored the impact of artificial intelligence on decision-making processes and ethical issues, while reflecting on the future society that humans and AI can build together.

Kindergarten Little Athlete's Day

Little Athlete's Day On 16th June, the students embarked on a journey to the Choa Chu Kang Sports Centre for Little Athlete's Day. The students were able to participate in a professional Gymnastics Class with Gymnastic Coaches, where they tumble, jump and run in a professional gymnasium. During this event, the students worked their hand-eye coordination, their balance as well as their flexibility as they navigate the different fun obstacle courses. Thereafter, the students had a relaxing time eating their packed lunch at the picnic tables with their friends. Being at the Sports Centre, the students had excess to a full-scale stadium and running track. The kindergarten students were able to run to their hearts content and play football just like the recent World Cup on a competition football field.
