독도의 날 행사는 활동 중심의 ‘독도 바로 알기’ 교육을 통해 독도에 대한 이해를 높이고, 독도 사랑의 공감대를 넓혀 이를 실천하는 계기를 마련하고자 진행되었습니다.

이번 행사에서는 총 12개의 체험 부스를 운영하여 학생들이 다양한 활동을 통해 독도의 자연환경과 역사적 의미를 배우고, 독도에 대한 관심과 애정을 키울 수 있도록 하였습니다. 학생들과 선생님들은 독도의 바다 생물 알아보기, 독도 쿠키 꾸미기, 독도 클레이 제작, 독도 퀴즈, 독도 스티커 제작 등의 활동부터 독도 VR 체험, 독도를 소재로 한 연극 관람, 독도 박물관 체험, 독도 역사 판결문 작성, ‘독도 소원의 벽’에 메시지 남기기, 독도 느린 우체통, 독도 플래시몹 배우기까지 다채로운 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여하였습니다.

이번 행사는 학생들이 독도를 더욱 가깝게 느끼고 그 소중함을 되새기는 한편, 독도를 사랑하는 마음을 함께 나누고 실천하는 뜻 깊은 시간이 되었습니다.

Dokdo Day was organized to promote a deeper understanding of Dokdo through hands-on educational activities under the theme of “Learning About Dokdo” and to foster a shared sense of appreciation and love for Dokdo, encouraging students to put these values into practice.

A total of 12 interactive booths were set up to help students learn about Dokdo’s natural environment and historical significance while developing greater interest in and appreciation for the island. Teachers and students enthusiastically participated in a wide range of activities, including learning about marine life around Dokdo, decorating Dokdo-themed cookies, creating Dokdo models with clay, taking part in Dokdo quizzes, and designing Dokdo stickers. They also enjoyed immersive experiences through Dokdo VR, watched a play about Dokdo, explored a Dokdo museum exhibit, wrote historical verdicts on Dokdo, shared messages on the “Dokdo Wish Wall,” sent postcards through the Dokdo Slow Mailbox, and learned a Dokdo-themed flash mob dance.

The event provided a meaningful opportunity for students to feel closer to Dokdo, reflect on its importance, and share and put into practice their appreciation and love for Dokdo.
